I couldnt find the right section but I got THIS email only to find the link altered

I took out the link but it was http://streamcommunity.(REMOVED).to/

its not convincing at all to be honest. Steam tells you that they will NEVER contact you.
 
But i wouldn't believe that.. They have yet to contact me or anyone i know. And unless it is steampowered.com, i don't click it.
 
Also note: "Dear members". EVERY message from steam I have ever received has been personally addressed to me.
 
I would not trust anything from Steam that does not end in '.com' I know in the past they were links with '.tk' that were viruses and '.to' is just as fishy.
 
I dont click any link sent to me by a message. I have to talk to the person (in vent or something) to make sure they sent it.
 
I never click a provided link.

Even if I think it might be legit - I open a new window and type in the root address and work from there.
