I just downloaded photoshop today and I'm looking into making signatures. Only sig's I've made before this I used gimp and I was usually just throwing my name on google pictures that looked cool:bored:. I've been using some guides I found off google for support so far.

I'm looking for feedback, and suggestions. (Oldest are at the top/Newest Bot)

EDIT:I'm starting to pile up quite a few signatures, so as I make newer ones, I'm going to start removing some of the older ones. You can still see them all on my photobucket though.

I like everything about them except for... The text. @.@ It could be better placed in my opinion. But other then that. Nice for your first time with Photoshop :D

You have a lot of empty space in your signatures.

Try only using one render as a focal point.

Also, try to use a variety of texts. Almost all of yours you put up have the same font.

The border should be smaller or just have a nice fade and there will be no need for one :p

Just made a few, I tried to use a smaller border, and make the text placement better. I'm also trying to learn to use the lighting effects ( on the last 2).

This is your FIRST DAY?

I think im going to go faint now

They look really good.

Is your shop open?

I wasn't planning on having a shop so fast, but I might start one in the future.

I'm still learning how to use lighting, flow, and some other things people have been suggesting

EDIT: Also, I've been wondering what you guys use, I've been using 410x165, but I hear a lot of people use 400x200.

400*200 imo is not good..i use 390-410 * 140-170.
Less canvas, less open space ;)
Also, your Sigs have a lack of "Depth" you can learn it HERE
But hey, this is just one techique you can use, try finding other tuts that show you how to create depth.
c4d's,fractals,brushes and almost everything can create flow..you dont really learn how to create a flow, when you have spent alot of time inside Ps, you will learn alot of things just by opening Ps, for exemple, flow.
Also its really important that you dont have 3 seperate renders inside 1 signature.
Try to have 1 good render and only work with that, dotn have 2 or 3 renders in 1 sig.
Smudge tool is a good way to create flow, many tutorials on youtube how to use the smudge tool.
And i know that you are new, but you gotta pick a text wisely, dont just slap it on there and dont think of where the possition is.
And i dont know if you are just into anime, but i suggest that you try this one out HERE. It helped me alot when i was starting, it teaches flow,c4d placement and lighting.
But it doesnt have Gradient Maps in it..And you really gotta start using that,
Gradient Maps help you to make the Background and Render have the same color feeling, also it makes the color of the sig much better.
I cant really teach you how to use them, but i can probably tell you on steam sometime.

Thats all i have to say now..
Try working on those things i said to you.
Keep the good sigs coming! :)

Also, I'm going to start taking down my earlier ones.

I really like the purple one by far your best, not much empty space and great effects. I do like the text placement and what you did to the text.

1 tip, either have the signature smaller, or have the render bigger.
Like in your newest one and current one..really good sigs but its too big and the renders are too small..
have the render bigger and it will be the focal :)
i like the text placement in your newest one, but it kinda takes the focal away from the render..
like i said..if the render would be bigger and more focal-ish. it would be alot better ;)
