Hey guys this is my first tutorial. To spare the pain of the images of my desktop at once, they will be thumbnails in this post. As an alternative, I will have a video(without audio i believe) later on to show the steps I did exactly.
Without further ado:
Step One:
Use the text tool, and place your text towards the top of the screen(large if you would like).
Step 2:
Go alpha to selection on the text, and create a new layer. Make a gradient of your choice, and place it in the new layer.
Step 3:
Make a new layer. Go to select>grow>grow 3 pixels. Fill the new selection with a border color. Move the border layer beneath the gradient layer.
Step 4:
Duplicate both the border and gradient layer. Move the border copy underneath the gradient copy, and merge down.
Step 5:
Select None, then Move the copied image below the original layers.
Step 6:
Use the flip tool as Vertical instead of Horizontal, and move the upside down text under the text.
Step 7+8:
On the upside down text layer, add a BLACK layer mask. Take the gradient you used earlier, and it will faintly reveal the text as a reflection.
Step 9:
First, select the gradient layer, and do an Alpha to Selection. Take your eclipse tool, and set it to subtract. Make a circle over the layer, and hit enter.
Step 10:
Make a new layer, fill the new selection White, and take down the opacity.
Finished! Admire your work! Throw it on new sigs(after you recreate of course) or Throw your Name on it!
