First of all, I started a lobby with my friend and I did nothing to tick this player off, in fact I never said anything. Which adds to the fun, seeing how low someone can go, to slander someone based on a community they love to hang out at.

13:14:42 )√ Shounic.exe: lol an eGO player
13:14:49 =(eGO)=™ Stormrider^ >:3: omigawd
13:15:00 )√ Shounic.exe: eGO is fail
13:15:26 =(eGO)=™ Stormrider^ >:3: Yeah sure, can we just play. Not discuss the communities we like to hang out at huh?
13:15:59 )√ Shounic.exe: no, because basing off the community you hang out at, it would be logical to assume you suck *Enter a cuss-word regarding feces here*
13:16:34 =(eGO)=™ Stormrider^ >:3: We'll see, I'm no Dignitas-player but I don't suck either
13:16:48 =(eGO)=™ Stormrider^ >:3: 'least I really really hope so
13:20:08 )√ Shounic.exe: there you go stormrider. you know you suck. (This was his "answer" to when I said to our demo that I can't switch because I can't play demo.

After the game he was very much quiet, seeing as I killed him tons of times. He did say something 'sarcastic' when I changed my nick into Darth Stewie. Other than this player who has no other hobby than to diss others, it was a fun match.

If you haven't played TF2Lobby yet.. gogo.

The times when I've went there with my tag on I haven't gotten any comments from people. I guess you just got (un)lucky. xD

I talk a lot of crap form players when i go in there with my tag on. I make it a habit to not wear it when i go in there, it's just not the hassle

Yeah, I rarely get any snarky comments. And, lo and behold, the best thing to do is ignore them.

If they start insulting you over the mic, tell them to shut up and focus on the game. Because in a lobby there is no time for idle chat, especially on the mic.

(And if they're typing it out, they're not moving, so go taunt kill their ass and make them eat their words.)

I've only tf2 lobbied a few times, and never really had trouble. Even when someone makes fun I usually just ignore them, and shoot a few rockets into their face.

Hmm i tf2lobby a decent amount of time now-a-days, whether tags be on or off i havent recieved any negative/derogatory remarks..

But i think tf2lobby is quite a challenge/adrenaline rush! Whether your trying to play serious/competitive or just going there to see the difference in gameplay style, i think most would like it if tried :)

Most of the time you'll be fine wearing the tags, sometimes you won't, its the same joining a random pub server. Anyway, I've gotten more trouble there for eGO being a public gaming clan, not competitive, than for being eGO. But that is settled by when they ask if you're good or not just saying 'yeah, I am, I lobby fairly often'. But I normally take off the tags anyway when I lobby so it doesn't matter that much to me. Oh, and Shounic.exe is a pretty cool guy actually, but I've only played with him with eGO tags on.

Dignitas has a respectable TF2 team? That's funny because their WoW and QL teams got stomped at IEM this year and they've kinda struck me as loser bracket tier in the pro circuit, if they even make it past Group stages that is...

I've never caught heat for the tag. If anything, I've gotten a few positive comments, people mentioning how much they enjoy eGO servers. Guess you just got unlucky. lol

I've had mixed results. Mostly they've been good, but sometimes, the uglies come out to play.

Probably my most memorable and satisfying moment in this forum was that I was playing Goldrush, and I was playing scout. There was a heavy on the other team who was smashing me through voice chat (alltalk was on), just stuff about how eGO sucks, and how all we do is ban people. Then he started directing things at me personally. Anyhow, he wasn't a great player, as most of these griefers are.

So, I repeatedly killed him and killed him through various circumstances, and then finally, there was this almost movie-esque scene where it was just him and I, heavy vs scout. He was standing by the cart, and I rushed him with the bat for whatever reason, and I killed him with a domination, and taunted over his corpse. Then I said something smarmy over mic, like "It's true, the only thing eGO does is ban people. And it sorta seems like I just banned you in the face." He threw out some profanity, and immediately ragequit. I couldn't stop smiling for a long time.

Can't be worse than l4d2 :/ a 40minute versus match listening to this annoying dude call me "eGO -guy who rides a harley motorcycle-" and telling me my entire clan has no skill what so ever

They pretty much dominate any TF2-match they set their foot in.

It's usually expected to be ridiculed whenever you go to a "non-eGO" area. Why? Because people are ignorant. A lot of people don't bother do to their research, and they base their opinions off of someone who was probably [99% likely] banned for a good reason, and they jump on the bandwagon.

Besides, on TF2lobby there's some scrubs who talk trash and they have no skills whatsoever - their skills are subpar, of what you find in a below average pub. Of course, after they get the poop whipped out of they usually shut up.

One time I went into a random server with my tags on. 1 minute in I started getting crap from a couple guys. "aaahhhhhh look, an eGO douche-bag" and "thank god we aren't on his server, we would all be banned for being good". I started talking with them in my normal goofy self and got them to shut up about it after a few minutes. (it's amazing how making people laugh can calm them down) After about 2 rounds of us working together and having fun/winning they both apologized for what they said. One guy said he was going to check out some of our servers seeing that if one admin (me) can be cool, maybe there are others out there.

Ignorance is bliss. Most people that say they hate us are basing it off of something they have heard or read but not experienced.

TBH, most of the people who play in TF2 lobby now aren't really that good overall (by that I mean if you go in expecting upper tier competition, you are probably in for a let down. There's plenty of bad players in lobby now). It's such public knowledge now that it's basically organized pubbing.

Seeing one lash out at you is not surprising, most of the people who frequent it like to think they are part of some exclusive club and better than everyone else.

Meh, every game has its own population of self-important idiots. They generally congregate around places they attach some kind of silly prestige to; I guess TF2 Lobby is the place for them in TF2.

L4D2 is the only game I've ever had a problem with. I had my entire team saying some nasty things about eGO back when I was an eG, while unloading their bullets into me:(. Until I got pounced and they proceeded to leave me there while the hunter mauled me.
I take my tags off now just so I don't make eGO look bad if that were to happen again, I would probably say some things that would get me banned from eGO servers. If I'm wearing the tags I always treat other servers with the same respect of an eGO server....Some people are just immature and love to get a rise out of people.
