Well after seeing Ill Legends epic post on how he started with eGO, I believe it shall be my turn, since ironically today is my 1 year.
*My story won't be as great in comparison, obviously. You have been warned*
Prior to me joining eGO, I only played OFPR's Dust2 server before it got shut down. There I played with some current members of our clan (Old Man, Daredevil) I really loved that server because it introduced me to FBG, but once it was terminated I had quit playing cs since I couldn't find anymore FBG servers.
Well 6 months after getting back into CS:S, I came upon eGO's very own Dust2 server with, what do you know, FBG! I immediately fell in love. While playing in this server for a week or two I met a very nice guy that goes by Frank the Tank, who was persisting me to join the clan. At first I was skeptical about the whole clan thing, but he then brought up the free admin policy and he hooked me in. Reminiscing back on my days being a pub at OFPR, there were numerous times I had wished I could be an admin to handle punks. This seemed to be my opportunity. On May 26th, 2009 I had officially joined eGO.
I came to see very quickly how great a community eGO is after joining. I saw all of our other servers for CS:S and tried out all of them. Liking and hating some more than others. Then I participated in a few events on the event server and came to enjoy many of those. One great memory is the first time I played our Jail server. Lets just say, when you're used to killing all of the opposing team members and you start off on ct for the FIRST time in a jail server...yeah you get the picture. :O
My greatest memory though would have to be when I competed in the Tournament of Champions competition while I was an e. I placed 1st in the SMG division and 8th in the finals. This was a blast and I really hope to see another one sometime soon.
I was promoted to eG on August 5, 2009 with a lot of our other current members. I was extremely ecstatic about this because my name was at the top of the list too haha.

I immediately attended my admin school and wanted to put my admin to test. I'll admit, I had plenty of fails at first, but with practice and the passing of time, I believe I've become a decent admin. K*O* even admits I'm a better admin than him lol
When it comes to my happiest moments on the internet, November 25th, 2009 would have to be bar none at the top. It was Thanksgiving and I was going to have a drinking party at my house and I had invited over =(e)=? Jonn Jonn. He asks me when he gets to my house, "Hows it feel to be eGO?" I looked at him puzzled and he just tells me to go look at the computer. I literally ran to my computer. I arrive to about 3-4 steam messages from friends saying "Grats on the promo!" Thanksgiving promotions finally gave me what I was looking for. I had finally been promoted to eGO! I partied a little harder that night and with good reason.
Now with those new responsibilities also came the chance of making new mistakes, and yes I made them unfortunately. Lets just say swinging the ban hammer is more fun than it looks.
But I have learned from all that I've messed up on and hope to continue doing what is right for our servers.
In this past year I have left a pretty decent mark on our CS:S servers with a few accomplishments to note that I personally am proud of.
Hlstats:
Ranked 13th in Most Kills on eGO servers.
Ranked 19th in connection time on eGO servers.
Ranked 18th in Deaths on eGO servers.
Ranked 22nd in Headshots on eGO servers.
I also can't forget that I've met plenty of great friends while playing here. Although I can't name all of them, my dust2 crew does come before everyone else. And that would be K*O*, W1ck3d, Lady Death, AngerMagnetic, Purple-Drank, Snuf, Frank the Tank and many others!
To end this rant, I would just like to say eGO is the real deal in my eyes. It really has taken a direct effect on my life in a positive way (well I see it that way at least, not my girlfriend so much). I feel like I'm a respected admin/player where I play at and I do my best to help out anyone who needs it.
Here's to another great year people! Cheers
