Unable to connect to HTTP Proxy. Your proxy may be misconfigured or offline.-336

Unable to connect to HTTP Proxy. Your proxy may be misconfigured or offline.

^any advice fr that

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to 'Tools -> Internet Options'
3. Click the 'Connections' tab.
4. There should be a button labeled 'LAN Settings' near the bottom. Click it.
5. Under the 'Proxy Server' field, uncheck 'Use a proxy server for your LAN'
6. ?????
7. PROFIT!

ANY time my baby gets a virus which is very very rare, i will do a completely nuke the drive and re-install you OS fresh. It seems things are not the same as before the incident occured and a fresh install is always good every 6 months. Not necessary, but i feel the crispyness of it. In fact the last i could remember is when i had an HP with a Celeron 1.3ghz CPU.

My bro's notebooks always came with Norton and once the trial expires, it just happens to get nasty bugs that even i cannot track down and i'll try stuff for hours on end. Fresh installs on those after backing up data that has been scanned by Avast .

I would call this a last resort for most if your not going for the fresh install deal.
