its tough to say what to read without knowing what you like. Michael Crichton has some alot of great novels so i would look into his book list and find one you might like.

Hatchet by Gary Paulson. Had to read it in 6th grade, it was required to pass. Very good story and book. Kept me turning the pages. There is also a sequel to it called The River by Gary Paulson. I havent read The River yet. But Definitely pick Hatchet up.

There's also a kind of an "extension" to Hatchet, called Brian's Winter, which is about if he had to survive the winter, as well.

If you like mystery novels Agatha Christie is a GREAT author.

i reread the series a couple weeks back and its cool to read it all the way through instead of waiting about a year in between books

The only book on english i've read is : harry potter and the deathly hallows, and it is actually really good. I bet its twice as good as the movie will be, the hp books always are
