My computer doesnt remember many of my settings, programs or documents when i start up my computer sometimes. This was ok because i just restarted it and it would be fine, now however it picks loads up with loads of programs missing everytime.

Problem two, fearing that my computer could die, i wanted to save my C drive onto my memory device E:/ , to ended in my computer telling me that i had to format my E:/, when i follow the instructions it then tells me, it wont do it.

Another two little things, it likes to say host procces and Windows arent responding alot. Also very very annoying.

I hate my computer, i really do.

To me seems like a virus.
Try running a virus scan, I use Avira AntiVir personal.

As well do silents suggestion.

If all else fails I'd say format and do a fresh OS.

What is drive E, physically?

Is it USB storage, is it a HDD, is it a USB Mass?

I would not worry so much about problem #2 , though it inhibits backing up of files which you need to do.

As Ric asked, knowing what type of media is important. Let us know what type, and we can go from there. Alternatively you could backup your media to DVD and be done.

Problem #1 really sounds like a Virus, could also be a seriously corrupted OS / registry . What i would do in your case to avoid any more headaches is backup to a DVD, FRESH install your OS. Just be sure any of the files you are backing up are not infected as well. Scan them separately with a different AV program as some viruses are made to mess with your programs and not catch the problem.
