Lag Issues with Source Games

I recently bought a Radeon HD 5750 almost a month ago and it worked super! Except on Source Games. I had run a test on my other games like Bad Company 2, Call of Duty 4 and World at War and it was good. The FPS was 100 +

My problem is that when I play any of my source games like for example Team Fortress 2 i get 30 fps and sometimes even 10 fps. I need help with it.



P.S. My PC gaming rig should be in my signature next to the Net Neutrality thing.

Hmm interesting. I would say do a game integiry verification.
Right click on TF2 or whatever steam game your playing, properties, local, verify game integrity.

What are all your video settings in game set at?

anti aliasing at x8 or x4. no to Multi core rendering

Well, the CPU is bottlenecking your GPU first off.

But, that shouldn't make Source games run that low. Try defragmenting it.

Skins and other addons could also slow it down a bit.

Anyhow, I would raise your resolution, turn off AA, turn on multicore rendering, and maybe even try to over clock your CPU.
