how this look?

NZXT Hades Mid Tower Case
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition
CoolerMaster V8 CPU Cooler
ASRock 890GX Extreme3 Motherboard
G.Skill Trident F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD (2x2GB) DDR3
CoolerMaster GX 650W PSU
EVGA GeForce GTX 470 1280MB

i already have the 470. still have to get the rest

the total is around $1500

OR

i can get this for $1400

Intel Core i7 860
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 Motherboard
Corsair ram CMx4GXM32A1600C8 2x2gb per kit 2 kits
Gigabyte ATI HD5850 PCI-Express video card x2
Seagate 1.5TB sata 11 720 32mb cache hard drive
Thermaltake Elements VK6001W2Z case
Thermaltake 1500 PSU SP-TTW0171
Windows 7 Professional 64bit operating system
DVD burner LG 22X dual layer
D-Link Rangebooster N 650 Wireless network card

total for this + the 470 is $1800

the full system is better hands down but im still torn. if i get the prebuilt guy i can sell the 5850's and make some money back and i have a ASUS Maximus III Formula sitting around doing nothing that i can use as well. which is a better mobo? the gigabyte or the asus? im honestly really torn.

looks good. tell me how it runs? I'm getting a similar set up soon.

Still need a HDD & disk drive.

just pulling the old one out of my current system.

looks like the case and motherboard are getting changed

Antec Nine Hundred Two Case
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Motherboard

Everything looks very very nice there, besides the cpu cooler. I think you can do better than that unless your stuck on it for other reasons besides performance.

Very good move on switching Cases.

I think you should have got Quad core instead, and purchased some SSDs for your OS. Maybe 2 80gb in RAID0 for your OS. That would give a bigger performance increase, unless you plan on doing heavy rendering.

The Hades is MUCH better than the 902.

-better cable routing
-better airflow
-better looking (opinion)

I have a GIGABYTE 890GPA-UD3H, and I have to say, It is pretty solid. Just make sure to update to the F6 BIOS asap. the f5 sucks.

(link to my f/s thread)

im going 6 core in the hope it will future poof the system for awhile and ive changed the cpu cooler as well. this is the new one

Thermaltake ISGC-400 CPU Fan

dont want SSD's id rather spend the money on a WD VelociRaptor and will later down the track. all the parts depend on the store and the cheapest right now doesn't stock the hades or the V8. i might still get them since theres only about $40-60 difference between stores.

even better would be Corsair h50

and 2 panaflo fans, then you would have extreme cooling.

Or you could build a custom water cooling setup.

OR! if you are really extreme, you would buy some TECs/Peltiers

OR OR OR!!! if you really want cold, you would build custom DICE or LN2 pots, and really get some sub zero temps going.

/crazy cooling rant

EDIT: 1 more thing, Ditch the crappy psu and get this instead:

Seasonic S12II bronze

Best power supply you can get for the money.

^^ That is actually a really good find for a mere $1.2k. The 5850 is a great card and everything else that is part of your PC is worth-while. Enjoy ^_^
