Odd "lag" in TF2

[Darklethal12]

So, I have 60-70 fps, running everything on high. My ping is usually in the 30-50 range.

I'm using the recommended rates as per eGO standards, but I get this odd little pause every second or so. It's on a very regular interval, and barely lasts long enough to notice. I don't get this with any other source games, or any other games, for that matter.

Both cl_showfps and net_graph don't show any FPS drop during the pauses. It doesn't interfere with gameplay, but does get really annoying. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the generic steps?
Defraging your TF2 and whatever else STEAM offers?

Issue solved via defrag. Man I feel stupid. Lock if desired.
