Will anyone else be trying OnLive come June 17th?

I received an e-mail for them offering a 12 month free subscription along with a free game start starts whenever they start their service, which has been said to launch on June 17th. I decided since there's no risk in trying it out that I might as well register and reserve my name right away.

Has anyone else received an e-mail from them? It looks like today is the last day that they'll accept this deal. However, they say that they are going to have 3 month free subscriptions when E3 arrives on launch day. Let me know. :)

I was in the beta. It was awful. Graphics were washed out, jittery, jagged and slow. I would not pay for OnLive. The 12 month deal is great though, but they have to improve their service.

I am just going to wait and see what other people think before I spend my own money. The whole idea seems to be unreliable, since the experience depends on the ISP.

Well that stinks. Another thing to add to the cons.

Well, I'm out. My connection sucks.

The whole concept behind the OnLive is sending the signal back and forth between your computer and their servers. As you can imagine, this causes a time delay (don't know the actual number of ms). Modern gamers are extremely concerned about the time delays, especially since they (or we, whatever works) are not willing to buy a monitor which has more than 5ms delay. I am sure that OnLive service will have a much greater delay than that.

I remember reading somewhere that it was at least 80ms, or all the way up to 120ms, I'm not sure.
Either way, it sounds like a good idea on paper, but the majority of people don't have good enough internet to run these games.
