Switch to chrome?

I find that Chrome is so much simpler then Firefox and for that reason only, I stick with Firefox.

I've been using Chrome for about a year now and have got to say it's my favorite. It includes most of the things that you have to add into Firefox like anti-popup features, greasemonkey etc.

i doubt it would make any difference since they got all your search queries anyways and maybe your e-mail.

besides it seems the norm these days considering MS controls most of the software on you computer and valve controls your access to let me see 63 of your games.

I have been a loyal firefox user for a very very long time. When Chrome was first opened as a beta I used it for a while and found that while it was much faster it lacked a lot of what I rely on in a browser. However, I have always liked the simple, clean layout and the ridiculous speed. With the recent additions of my dearly needed extensions I have become a full-time chrome user and I couldn't be happier. Firefox will always have a place in my heart, but to be honest I believe they are past their prime. Their recent updates have been lackluster and they are falling behind the curve in many areas.

My suggestion would be to try Chrome full-time for a month and then make a decision. Don't go back to firefox during that time...give it a full run. In the end, both are extremely good, safe and secure browsers (as safe and secure as a browser can be in these days...most of that is depended on the user, but I digress). Use the browser that you're most comfortable with and don't worry about what other people think.

I personally stay with firefox. I get the security and speed that I need. I just did a speed comparison between the two. Chrome took 4 seconds to start and load up the default page. Firefox took 2 seconds to start and load up the default page. And I dont have any add ons to firefox. Its all personal preference really.

I use Chrome, I have tried most other popular browsers like Firefox, Internet explorer, opera, safari and out of all of them, Chrome started up the fastest and had the simple, easy layout with the features I liked in it so it was a no brainer for me to stick to chrome and I definetly think you should use it or at least try it out for a month, or even a week.

I was a firm user of firefox when it came out years ago. I suggested it to any internet user to switch to firefox UNTIL Chrome came out. After reading the benchmarks at Tomshardware of the 5 popular web browsers (IE, Firefox, opera, safari, chrome), I made the switch to chrome and haven't looked back since. It's clean, user friendly, fast, and not a resource hog! <3333 chrome

What is everyone's RAM? I have 4gb and Firefox loads everything and starts faster than Chrome. Only time it doesnt is when my laptop first fires up when everything is warming up.

This still fails to convice me Chrome is faster, I tested it on my own computer and chrome takes 2 seconds longer to load and display the page, where as Firefox takes 2 seconds to pull up and display the page. Firefox displays the default page almost instantly where chrome pulls up and 2 seconds later the page is displayed. Not to mention Chrome takes longer to load up the eGO webpage than Firefox does. Idk maybe my interwebz is more 1337 than everyone elses

This may be something only I've experienced, but I've found Google Chrome to be more secure than FireFox.

Granted, my wife's on an older XP machine, but in her ridiculously innocent browsing, I'd wound up needing to reformat multiple times while she was running firefox due to virus troubles. In spite of her having the same security measures of my machine (which at the time was a combination of Avast, Kaspersky, and Malwarebytes). I suppose it could be her running on an older XP machine, but regardless...

I finally said to hell with FireFox, hooked her up with Google Chrome, and she's been sitting good ever since.

I've always used Opera, but I've considered switching over to Chrome.
