Gigabyte UD9 released - pricing

I was excited to find out that it has come out...Then I looked at the price and cried.
 
Very expensive yes, very awesome as well. Though i have heard of some performance issue because of the dual NF200 chips having to communicate with one another, the cards, and the rest of the system itself. Trying to pick up the link where i seen this, will post when i do.

It's added latency. It's a battle of latency vs bandwidth, the performance results will be different for every individual setup.

I want gigabyte to spend the profit from the UD9 to get this to market faster:

Wow, $700 is pretty steep for a mobo. But you would probably have the best mobo on the market right now if you had one.
 
I have never seen a mobo priced at $700 til i seen this one. Like this, not like that Reflex.

um, wheres the video card slot on the motherboard? i mean as expensive as this mobo is & w/ it having 6 slots (which is ridiculous), what r these slots for exactly?
 
they are regular PCIe X16 slots (some of them are only wired for 8X though)
 
Im sure Pillar was being sarcastic reflex lol... And thats 7 PCI 2.0 slots and can run true
16x 16x 16x 16x Quad SLI or Quadfire since it has dual NF200 bridges. The only other board to do so is the ASUS P6T7, though it supports 3 way SLI + Physx, while the UD9 is all SLI

What about the EVGA 4x SLi Classy?
 
For the price, I expected Gigabyte to do better with the heatsinks. Drop the cheap waterblock Gigabyte, uuuugh
 
DID not know the E762 had 2 NF200 chips, thanks hell. It came out a while ago too, never paid too much attention at its release, just liked looking at it and was more interested in the E760.

Yeah, I think it was actually the first. I could never afford a classy...but I sure do love looking, lol. Maybe in like 3 years when I have like 300 EVGA bucks. Lol.
