DoD:S FPS Problem

Hey guys, if anyone could point me in the right direction with this it'd be greatly appreciated. I have been playing DoD for about 4 years now. Lately I've been having terrible FPS problems, usually getting anywhere between 10-25 fps. I have changed all my resoloution settings to the lowest and this didn't help. I have these frames even with all my background programs shut down.
