It's amazing. I'm running a leaked RC version on my Moto Droid. It is blazing fast overall(JIT is finally stable!), and web loading has also received a nice boost.

I'm tempted to run the leaked Froyo on my Droid but I almost bricked it once, so I'm a little scared...

In order to brick a droid you actually have to be trying to brick it. Otherwise, there is always a way to recover it.

Yea I ended up downloading the Vzw 2.1 image and then used some low level tool to apply it. It failed the first two times, which then the phone wouldnt even boot. But the third time it worked and I'm pretty hesitant to mess with it again.

They said that the WiFi doesnt work in that RC.

The only reason i want 2.2 is for the Hotspot feature

I just have it for the speed. I already had mobile hotspot.

Yes, wi-fi is not functional, but I have 3G everywhere I go and rarely use Wi-Fi anyways.

you can't brick a droid just with the OS and software there is always a way to reinstall the OS, it can just be a pain in the ass
