FPS speed problem in TF2

Ok. This is the one thing that has made me upset the most lately! I join the server and its fine for about 5 - 10 minutes and then when i get the smallest lag spike then it kickes in. My computer moves from like 30 FPS to 2 fps :facewall:. I have no idea what causes it! A while ago i downloaded game booster that closes all programs related to non-gaming programs so the game should work at its peek. I have also downloaded skins for tf2 that said they help FPS ( http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/77981 ). And all of my ingame stats are at their lowest! i have no idea what to do. And for some reason this issue only happens in the eGO servers. Any help?

Did this problem start happening before you installed all of these 'FPS booster' programs? if so just un-install those and see how it works. If not I'd recommend re-installing TF2.

If you do decide to re-install make sure you delete everything. Find the game files under steam and make sure everything is gone. Also I believe there are some more files but I'm not sure as to where they are saved.

No this started happening after a month after i downloaded the skin. So it was working fine. But i don't think that i need to reinstall everything.

I would run a defrag on your hard drive or look for a virus that may cause it. Thanks for linking the skins. I like em

Well you could try updating your GPU drivers. it might make a difference. but if it still doesnt work i'd still recommend re-installing TF2 cause its basically like wiping the table clean and starting over.
