a question about ghosting

is looking at someone else's screen who is in the same server but they are dead considered ghosting? cause if so you could ban the team modern guys now they just told me thats what they do

Pretty sure that's ghosting, but it would be stupid to ban them, we can't control what other players do in private. Not even admins can do that.

If you are seeing more than what's on your screen by looking at another player's screen who is alive or dead, then you are ghosting. Nokx is correct in saying that ghosting is very difficult to admin, but I see ghosting as something that deals with integrity. Nobody should be ghosting because it's like cheating. You wouldn't hack because that's cheating, so why would you ghost?

Anybody can use Vent/Teamspeak or Xfire, MSN ANYTHING to report a location of an enemy to his buddy.

I was actually asked this when I was a G.
Long story short, no, we can't ban them for ghosting. It's more of a integrity thing as Dalsia said we can't kick or ban for someone saying oh I'm ghosting off my friends computer, but if it was in game or someone heard them in vent, then yeah.

If the ghosting is causing disruptions, then yes, admin action can and will be taken.


Ghosting, depending on the severity, can be seen as griefing and/or cheating/exploiting to gain an advantage over other players.
