I was wondering if anyone else has the problem of tf2 crashing and knows how to fix it.

I really only notice it when I'm playing in tf2 lobby, then again that's really the only play i play anymore, but it's annoying to have my game crash in the middle of the match.

You should probably have this post moved to tech help. Also, a more detailed description of the type of crash would help.

I did post this in tech help as well, i guess i'm trying to double dip.

and the crashes, as far as i can tell, ther pretty random, I don't notice
anything in particular that is consistant with the crashes, other than it is in tf2 lobby matches.

the only other thing i can offer is i have win 7 64bit.

Try to give us more details. If anyone is to help you with your problem, the first step is probably to post a DXdiag (specs).

Beyond this, it would be good to know what kind of crash you are experiencing. I guess Windows 7 doesn't have Blue Screens, but the type of crash is still important.

For example, the most common type of crash is a CTD (crash to desktop). The program in question (hl2.exe) will crash and shut down, dumping you back to the desktop environment. Usually steam will not crash with it.

I've been having a similar problem, happened in TF2 and L4D2. Playing a match, game lags for a moment, then crashes to the desk top. No warnings, no errors, just comes to a screaching halt.

I remember Kunai having a similar problem. I got him to fix it by uninstalling TF2, then deleting everything TF2 related in his steam folder and then reinstalling. He was able to run it fine afterwards.

What Sabion said is the best bet since I know you've already verified cache and everything.

another easy trick is turn off multicore rendering, if that doesnt work then verify your game cache integrity, if that doesnt work, then delete the clientyregistry.blog file in your steam folder and restart steam.

hey i had the same problem so I log of steam restart my computer and when y log it on i tried running TF2 and the files started updating and when it finished i could normally play TF2 maybe you need to check your files if something is missing
