James "Gib_Mongrel" Frazier. A long time friend of mine and EGO has passed away.

Hello Guys,

I don't really know you that well other than from what Gib has told me and by his clan tag in game.

I have been a long time friend of Gibs for the past decade, yet not exactly caught up with his current gaming affiliations.

Gib was the BEST team player, always putting others before himself. He was a blast to frag with in Quake 2, L4D among other games. He was an asset to the gaming community with his map and player model creations among clan and community administration.

If you knew Gib please do a shout out for him on the forums and be sure to comment on his steam page. I doubt he has a facebook or other page. If you know of his current community page please let me know! His personal Clan website was on Geocities, but we all know what happened with them.

Gib was an awesome friend and I wish himself and his family the best of luck through these hard times.

We will all miss you gib!

:crying:

I never knew him. But he sounded like a very good friend.

Rest in Peace.

Yeah his sister turned on his computer and steam happens to auto start with his rig. I called his personal number to verify this info and his sister picked up. His activity for the past week has been very absent. He is a L4D2 freak 24/7.

I remember him playing CSS a few years back 24/7 day and night. I finally got him to break down and buy L4D and instantly he turned into a L4D nut. Now L4D2 nut :P

GG Gib!

i know Gib_Mongrel, former ego member...very good man , very good friend of mine, died yesterday suffering from lung cancer.
gib, i love you, respect you.... i will miss you.
rest in peace....

I had him on my steam friends list, not sure if I was removed or not. I used to play L4D 1 and 2 with him a lot. R.I.P bro.

R.I.P. Met him once or twice was always a nice guy. I'm sure he up there playing the best games heaven has to offer.

R.I.P James.

I never had the pleasure to game with you but it is always sad when someone in our community passes away.

A fallen gamer, admin, community leader and friend
James Frazier ("Gib" to most of us) loved to game. He was always there when you wanted to game or was someone you wanted to join when he sent you an invitation. The fact that he filled a game lobby faster then any one I know just shows the type of person Gib was. We loved him.

As an admin James had a very fair and laid back approach. Most would never even know he was an admin.

James helped shaped the PFG community. He was someone I would frequently go to for advice. He raised the bar for PFG members and I don't believe anyone will be able to fill his shoes.

As a friend James would always put others first. No matter what he had going on in real life he would always be there for you.

I will always remember you James, and the great times we had.

I played with Gib a lot of times on L4d and L4d2. He was a great team player and it was an honor to spend time playing with him.
