I have been getting alot of questions on how to aim so here you go..

My guide to muscle memory as I have been doing it for a long time.
(This is for mm_kozzy_targets search on youtube if you dont know what it is or search on fps banana for the map)

Beginners: Start slowly moving your crosshair back and forth between each point you dont even need to shoot, do it about 100 times for each angle (vertical/diagonal/horizontal etc.) Once you get more familiar with your sensitivity you can increase the speed at which you move between each point. You will notice fatigue in your arm/wrist that's normal, because your doing something your not used to your muscles have to get used to it hence the concept of muscle memory. Take as much time as needed to complete 100 reps of each angle. After that take a quick break and go do about 30 mins of deathmatch with deag/m4/ak/awp. After that, you've completed your first MM training workout.

Once you have done the same workout for about 2 weeks you can start lowering the reps to 30-50 times per training session and just remember Source is just like any other sport you need to warm-up. So whenever you get in vent and your team is saying OKAY LETS SCRIM GUYS COMON COMON just have discipline and say wait give me 10 mins to warmup go do a quick 5 min mm training session and hit the NCi deathmatch for 5 mins and then connect to the scrim server hope this was helpful.

I clicked into this thread wondering how the thread title could POSSIBLY be related to CS:S.

I was surprised to read the contents.. the same way Eyeless is.

hmm, so all I have to do it wave my hand back and fourth 100 times a day for 2 weeks to be good at css?

are we possibly taking this too seriously? LOL

YES! That is exactly what I thought when I read this. This is a game not a race lol, its some great info but if you do this everytime you play CS:S, I might think you're pretty weird and you have too much time on your hand.

Not trying to be mean or anything but, this isn't sports its a video game. If you have to devote two weeks to training and conditioning something thats not real, a game, you need to find something else to do.

Ive heard of doing this before, I seem to get bored of going back and forth between the target so I gave up and just started playing. Ill be good eventually:)

Nice tips nonetheless

Meh, I'm pro enough without this
Thanks for the tips
maybe it'll help some people get better who want to

You don't need to be sorry, you did nothing wrong in posting this.

I will give this a shot. Thanks for posting this because it may be a helpful way to warm up and I usually just do a knife bot game and aim to left/right/top/bottom then flick mouse and hs one at a time but this may work better. IDK thx either way

It makes sense. I mean, you take 100 free kicks in football every day and you'll be pretty good at it. And waving your hand is how you aim in CS:S.

And Hey cls, I'm sure lots of people will find it very helpful. Personally that's not how I train for CS:S (I opt for normal gameplay and adapt in situations, maybe more ineffective, who knows?) but I'm sure some people who are determined to train and become more skilled at this game will find this extremely helpful, heck I might even start doing this if I feel like it.

Just remember that not everyone will LOVE your threads but we all appreciate thoughtful ones like these. I hope you write more threads on ways to improve CS:S skills.
