Punk buster is not working so great (help)

Whenever I join a server, I get kicked after a few minutes, and it says something like:
Kicked Player reflex9999 for 0 minutes
RESTRICTION: service communication
Failure: pnkbstrb.exe heartbeats stopped


This didn't happen when i 1st played the game, and now it just started happening.

I already tried updating punkbuster with the pbsetup.exe, and that didn't seem to work.

I am really confused.

Make sure you remove all punkbuster programs, then manually use pbsetup again. Thats what I needed to do.

EDIT: I don't know if it is important, but i bought the game from steam

Go into your Windows Control Panel-> "Add/Remove Programs" and remove "Punkbuster Services". Then download the pbsetup and run it again.

yep, delete and reinstall that should do the trick. just off curiosity: what game is it ? .

make sure to have every update of punkbuster (run the update service regullary) that should help
