well i was wondering if anyone could help me get the best performance out of my pc as possible my specs are
Processor -2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme T8300
Memory-4GB, 667MHz DDR2
Hard drive-160GB 7,200rpm
Chipset-Intel GM965
Graphics-NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS
Operating system-Windows Vista Premium
its a Gateway FX gaming laptop i want to really know wat i can do to boost its performance in gamin mostly how to get the best graphics while keeping good performance with no video lagg
and yes i havent been very active in a while but oh well im back

Other than closing background processes, without knowing what game you're referring to, we can't really give you any suggestions so far as settings go. Hardware is hardware.

Are you asking what settings will run best in a game such as...TF2? What settings in general to avoid, ones that cause the most stress on your components?
 
im thinkin of games like Just Cause 2,GMod for recording,Arma 2, and newer games in general and i would like to know stuff like best settings for my setup
 
If your trying to upgrade to a different video card, then your kinda helpless. Not something I would try, or maybe even capable.
 
Other than changing graphics settings, defragging your HDD and keep the amount of running programs at a minimum, there's not much you can do since it's a laptop.
