Please stop clicking suspicious links on steam

To all the people who got hacked becaus of this: "Your own fold, i dont care". Becaus, how can people thing: "YEAH FREE GAMES, FINALLY!". You just can't think that, becaus its unposible. So..... remember this thread:P
 
i press nothing over css chat anymore. if i do, i copy, paste onto my aim, and then send over to my laptop. so :/

i suggest dont click anything that doesnt look like either like youtube or eGO forums links. thats about it.
 
Bump -- I am still seeing people getting their accounts hacked. STOP clicking those links. STOP logging into websites that you have visited via a link from Steam.

Another thing to remember if it isn't htt ps:// www. steamcommunity .com then do NOT log into the website. (note that is without the spaces, i have spaces in the url above because the forums try to make it into a url which is obnoxious).

steamcommunity.com and steampowered.com are the only two websites you should be on about steam and their games and what not.


I get at least fourteen of these links sent to me from different people in different groups i am in a month. If you click on one of those links it is the equivalent of giving money you spent on the games in your account to some random person.

Don't Click on Tiny or Bity URLs either those are usually bad websites that steal you info as well. BTW YouTube has been having the same issue for quite some time now though their PM system.

You should set your personal information to:

Some CEO of a state-of-the-art Internet Security firm's, and then click tons of links and watch them get busted in a month or 2 :D
