I was playing Battle Field Bad Company 2 for the first time, and i noticed when some of the higher detailed areas come up, patches of random colors and patterns appear instead of the detail, is it a problem with my graphics card? and if so, how do i fix that without having to buy a better one

This was something i was about to post!!
like

its hard to play this game with these random Flashes of bright/dark colors. it hurts my eyes =[

And how do u do that?

Find out what kind of video card you have. More than likely, you have an ATI card or an Nvidia card. Either way, just visit the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers.

Hey Plox, could we please get some system specs as well as details on that GPU ? Updating drivers is simple.

1. download your new drivers from nvidia.com if using nvidia, alternatively go to ati.com

2. uninstall your current drivers by going to control panel-> hardware and sound-> device manager -> open the drop down menu for display adapters -> right click to uninstall

3. reboot

4. install new drivers

note: some/most people will recommend using driversweeper/cleaner to make sure all the old drivers are completely gone. I do this every once in a while, normally only when i see a problem in-game such as glitches/crashing or if the driver update does not fix a problem. I have only used Nvidia, so i cannot say how much of an effect this will have on ati products.

Or, for full system specs,
Click on
Start bar -> go to Run then type in "dxdiag" and hit enter -> and copy and paste all of the following information that I've highlighted into this thread.

E/ Also, for your graphics card, when you're in dxdiag, click on the Display tab, then copy and paste the following highlighted information into this thread.
