For all those who own the new ATI 5970 Graphic Card please let us know all the good and bad points of it.

1) What operating system are you running with it?

2) How you like it?

3) How long have you had it?

4) Have you encountered any gaming problems with it?

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Peace and have a safe Summer!:)

lol i don't think like anyone has a 5970........maybe like 3 ppl on this forum if any at all.

But ill tell you how it is from reviews and research i've done on it.

The thing has went up in price since release. It was supposed to be like $600 even $500 for retail but like a few months later after the shortages......they were selling for like $800 and now even though theyre in stock...they go for atleast $700 to $800.

5970 are good overclockers if you get the correct card.....saying like XFX black edition with the volt software etc...you can get 1000mhz core from what i last read.

They perform really well and will trade blows with a GTX 480 while winning a majority of them.

DON'T BUY ONE NOW!!!! The 5 series are reaching the end of their life.....ATI 6 series are expected to be released by the end of this year to the beginning of next year from what was leaked.

So if your gonna spend big bucks, just wait.

1) Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit

2) Best card I have ever owned by miles

3) 2 weeks, only been using it for 1 though

4) none

hehehe now that schools over.....seems like its almost here

Anyways, its a 5970........what do you expect, if you have the money, go for it lol......usually anyone willing to dish out that kind of money is able to upgrade almost every time a new card comes out.

Blue stealth.....i praise your systems considering how beastly they are lol and how many nice ones you have lmao

Oh, you finally purchased the 5970? Cool! Just wanted to know if you had any issues with it so far?

The 58xx and 5970 are supurb cards. If you're a hardcore gamer, you can't go wrong with either of them.

I'll answer the questions about the 5870 I've got.

1) Windows 7 64-bit HP

2) Love it! Absolutely awesome card

3) 6 months+

4) No gaming issues at all. The drivers get better with every release.

The only reason I'm not getting a 5970, is because how big the damn thing is lol. So I'm getting a 5870, which is basically almost the same thing as a 5970 just smaller.

Just letting you know and maybe clearing it up for a few others,
A 5970 is a single graphics card with two of the 5870 GPUs at lower clock speeds so its in the allowed power usage... usage. lol

yup, they had to get it under 300w

yah I remember the number 293 I think. Under 300W means the card only uses 1 6-pin and 1 8-pin instead of 2 8's.
