Alright guys you might have seen this thread:

I finally bought a 5970 from newegg and installed it a few days back. Its working perfectly and if anyone reading this is shopping or researching high-end gpu's I might be able to answer any questions you have.

Here are the pics. First, a front anf back size comparison between the 5970 and GTX295.

And a pic of the card installed in my rig.

full system specs in my sig

Hey Stealth, beautiful piece of equipment . Congrats on the newest addition to your family :-)

How much did that sucker set you back? If you don't mind my asking of course... The few times lately I have seen them in stock on Tigerdirect they are going for $700+. Do you think one 5970 is better than a couple of 5850s in Crossfire?

I believe the gpu cose me around 710 with shipping.

Personally I prefer the 5970 over the dual 5850's, obviously.

I would think that the heat and noise levels would be less for a single 5970, but im too tired atm to check actual numbers. Also, just like SLI drivers, crossfire drivers are relatively immature and are not very reliable.

Nice Blue Stealth. I own the same card but from Sapphire and you can trust me, you won't be disapointed. This is a solid card that can handle everything!
