Shouldnt there be one?
What do you guys think?

Gmod has almost everything, Deathmatch,ROleplay, build, zombie, modern warfare...

I think it should have it own space here at this great community...:P

I am pretty sure that some clan members play GMOD with each other a lot, but there really isn't a solidified competitive aspect with the game. That is probably why eGO never pursued it.

There have been a million threads on this already.

The leaders decision is a no. The servers will cost too much and it will be hard to admin. Another thing is you cant really have a division in it. There are other reasons also but i cant remember.

Next time please post in the DropBox.

Also, we have a GMod section: http://www.edgegamers.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=646

As rager said below me, everytime i play, it takes a long time just to join a server.

Do you know how many man hours it could take for one LUA file? There are often thousands of LUA files on one server and one could have a professional LUA coder working for hours. The fact is that they are nearly impossible to run and you need to have very experienced admins.

eGO also needs money just for the servers. stand alone they just open dedicated supporter to help. If they did make a GMOD server it would cost even more money. + the 2000 they already need for august. Hence this is very unlikely to happen :)

There is a specific reason why Leadership don't make a GMOD division.

GMOD Takes a too much resources.

Lighten up kiddies. He just joined the forums today. He is not up on the history yet. He's allowed to ask questions (misguided though you may find them). As I've been known to say in the servers; "Let's keep it friendly".

Like some of the other guys have said, the answer has, and likely will continue to be in the future, no.

One single GMod server actually would cost us an entire "box" of servers (between 4-6 individual servers for the other games, so it's really not a very cost-effective option. While I know that there are many people that enjoy GMod and that it has a strong community, right now it's just not an economical option for eGO to pursue.

Thanks for the interest though! :)
