Went Missing.

1st, see this pic

And see the critical thing to shut down a computer is missing. I even tried Alt F4 function. It apeared for 5 second and its gone. I tried again and this time it wont even pops out.

I somehow managed to find it back thanks to my college fellows.

But, I would like to know how this can happen? is it windows fault? Because I didnt install anything, didnt update my comp at all. I would like to know whats the cause if possible so I can evade something like this ever happen again. Thanks in advance!!

You or software(hardware as well, didn't notice you had a laptop) had to edit something in your computer.
Nothing ever disappears for no reason.

My guess would be..
You accessed(or gave forced access) something you shouldn't(otherwise noted as harmful) and it corrupted your menu settings.

OR, you went into the modification environment and turned off the operative commands, which I don't think you did.

You say you seen it, then it went away?
You should check your computer for malicious intrusions, sounds like a joke program.
You normally get those from "drive-by" sites, as they call it.

And I didnt ever touch any setting. I just open my laptop, enter the forums, watching pokemon, and play FB games... >_<

Just wondering, am I the only one that REALLY misses the old Start menu style? You know, Programs, settings, etc, all in a nice list?
