By the way, you can disable that fairly stupid killcam by going to Options, Multiplayer, and Advanced Options. Its one of the first checkboxes.

The update has brought some weird changes, but almost all of them dont affect major gameplay it would seem. Hopefully the bugs will be fixed soon.

I don't know if I'm more excited or more excited.

I think I'm probably more excited than excited.

THIS IS SO EXCITING.

This is probably one of the worst game updates I've ever seen. No real changes to general gameplay but only useless bells and whistles that make CSS feel like TF2. Now I can't even get into eGO servers properly.

Lol wow you're so dramatic -.-

Of course there are no changes in gameplay, THEN people will be REALLY ranting stuff like "zomg wth, css was perfect to begin with!11". The update wasn't to make the game more like tf2, that doesn't make sense. If the update were to make css like tf2 then the update would of made the gfx cell shaded, characters would make snappy come backs, there would be a wacky announcer etc. You said it yourself there weren't any changes in gameplay, so how would it change counter strike to be more like tf2? It updated the game to the latest source engine available so it added motion blur, multi core rendering, more detailed textures etc., to the game.

And the reason why many servers were down was because the server side program wasn't updated with the new update in those servers so they appeared as "offline". Check for yourself, all eGO servers are up and running because they were updated.

My video card was just right for cs:s, now it's crying :S..

Good thing I ordered a Radeon Hd 5750... should come in today or tomorrow... or after that....

If you guys haven't heard, this update wiped out all the extra mods this game had to offer. That and the server list idea to look like TF2 or any other major source games was a disappointment. I want it to be the old way server list. Now the achievements are freaking epic, best thing about the update for me.

Yeah to be fair it's not THAT bad, I guess I was just a bit pissed when I couldn't log into eGO when I installed that update.
Still, when I say it feels like TF2 I wasn't refering to the graphic style or the snappy comebacks, but rather the new server lists, scoreboard and especially the dreaded death cam. I was hoping for something like MW2 style death cam, not like this. I'm sure the internal changes to the engine is great, but the visual changes are simply not to my liking.
One more thing I dislike about it is that the new update wipes out my fave mod: FBG stats. It's practically the only thing that still keeps me playing the game

Well, I just played it for the first time tonight. It feels more "laggy" than the old version. I'm not talking about video lag. I'm talking about the netcode hit registration lag. I dunno... it just doesn't feel as accurate and realtime as it did before. Only occasionally would I die after I had ducked back around a corner in the old version. It happened to me multiple times tonight.

Oh well.

THis update is junk, I have been getting constant lags, its like everytime I touch something it glitches. what the hell?
