eGO to E3?

a group of 20 or 30 people getting week long passes
getting to play the demos, getting signed merch from the big name companies
checking out the booth babes :drool:
do a little advertising about our awesomeness
sell some eGO gear

who else thinks this idea is the bidniz?

To get into E3 you either need to be in the industry (people working for game publisher or developer) or part of the gaming press...meaning that it ain't open to the public. So it's not going to happen unless eGO plans to start writing gaming articles and game reviews.

Also according to most people who go, E3 is a hellish experience.

Not true. You have a better chance of getting into E3 if your in the industry, other than that good luck getting tickets before the sell out.

I'm positive someone wouldn't mind writing reviews about games
since there are 15k+ members
if no one jumps at the chance of reviewing games
i would be honored to do it.

and if eGO did go, i would suggest JohnT have an automatic spot in the group since he is the founder

Gaming communities hardly count as that. Even if we did qualify as having an indirect, but professional Affiliation to the gaming industry it would still cost $400 per ticket.

I'm all for it, i will have my full license then and my car, i think it would be cool to meet up with some of the clan mates on eGO at E3, i want to go along with a few of my friends back here at home.

I agree, PAX would be a good start, I mean, the only thing we contribute to the gaming community is some of the top servers on Steam... /sarcasm off, I think if we contacted Valve we could get some aka 10ish tickets for E3 next year.

If the E3 people let eGO into the event then they would have to let every single gaming community out in. Basically the only way eGO has a chance of even getting into E3 is if a member here is part of the gaming business.

eGO is a bit hard on keeping the servers up as is, E3 would be expensive. Plus getting a booth is hard with all the big company's buying up the rooms.
