Last night, my computer unfortuanately crashed thanks to some virus in my computer. I wiped it clean and reset the entire computer back to factory settings using a reset disk.

Anyways, I intstalled everything I needed again, except one thing... the audio drivers. I know I'm supposed to download them, but where can I do this? Sadly, I don't know the manufacterer of the sound card within my computer, so if anyone could suggest anything for me, the help would be appreciated.

The computer uses Windows XP. Again, I appreciate any help offered. xP

Peace n Love eGO!

Try downloading a program called Everest, here is a link to download it :

Once you installed it, try looking on your's computer summary, the sound card should be in the "Multimedia" section, and after you know which is the sound card model come back and tell us which is it, so we might help you finding those drivers.

Under Multimedia, the one thing that appears under "PCI / PnP Audio" is Realtek. I'm assuming that's the manufacter?

Thanks for the assitance btw.

Seems like you have a Realtek on-board audio device.

Download your drivers from THIS link, install and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the help both of you. I got the drivers downloaded, installed, and set up. Audio works and everything! xD

Thanks again!
