Sniping and the act of not really doing anything...

So theres a certain sniper that has been spending a lot of time on donner lately thats pretty much pissin everyone off... ok so he can snipe maybe, but does getting one kill every 10 minutes count? I recognized him today and i know its not illegal its just rediculous, the kid is 54 and 2 because after that second death everytime he was about to die he got off the server and then rejoined really fast... and I know for a fact that he sits and waits for people to drop a sniper or die cuz that is all he will use, i understand comfort zone but this kid is just rediculous. Im just pointing something out that I find really really annoying, and i know i wasnt the only one lol he goes under the name of cbl or aka Eazy, I only realized it was easy cuz of his icon. Anyways just blowing out some steam and i know it probably wont do anything but here it is

I have to agree, it was very annoying...

I know everyone has there own styles of playing, but, this was just taking something way to far.

He tried to stay in or just out of spawn, then would quit anytime there was a chance of dieing. He only killed with sniper, and if he couldn't become a sniper, would follow one around until they died and could get it. Probably why he had 2 deaths, killed following a sniper around......

Not a big deal.... i know...... but, if you played for hours watching him do it, you just can't ignore it........

ehh, you never know sometimes what the deal is mr. S. He/she might be 7 years old.. someone messin around.. you never know. I don't sweat that stuff ever unless they are intentionally trying to be disruptive/abusive..etc.

Suggest the "person" to give a hand if they are on the same team and perhaps encourage some team/proactive like behavior. You know, show em how. Of course like I said if it is just plain disruptive call on an eG - eGO to take a look and get an opinion.. We are all here to help guide and have a good time.
 
Well it doesn't sound like he's breaking any server rules so he's more than welcome to my home I mean Donner as long as he stays out of my kitchen. For all the time I've spent in there, strangely enough I've never noticed him. Guess I'll be keeping an eye out for him now....

that part really isnt allowed. If you can prove that he is doing that to avoid dying, then he is stat padding and point farming.

Hmm you're right (as usual). It didn't occur to me that he might be doing that since Mr.S said he was getting kills at a very slow rate and I thus figured he wouldn't be gaining many points that way. But according to his sessions history he's gone up about 4000 points in under a week. Worth keeping an eye on.
 
Yea, what Blue said. Had a guy on Charlie, [FN] Sandi i think, with a bind to suicide when someone was about to kill him. Warn, kick, ban. Get a little demo of it, all you need actually, although server logs should record damage and suicides; just makes it easier for everyone.

I have played with the guy and a few of those VERY few kills on him are from me. Just do as Blue suggest and W/K/B for stat farming if he is leaving and coming back alot.
 
Ive seen a few sneaky snipers in my day. On one occassion i passed up a winning flag capture to kill a sniper that was camping in the axis slaughter house in Donner. The moral of the story is: make them pay!!!
 
whats said above pretty much goes without saying. i have also noticed certain people drop into spectate in order to see where people are. then they pop back into snipe and rack up those kills. they also swap teams a round, then swap back. i only noticed as i was about to log off for the day. i am gonna grab some video next time i see anyone do that.

i hate snipers and it drives me crazy when they camp out proned somewhere but what can you do? other than flank that fool with an MP40!

So here's the thing see. You like, walk up to them you know and you tap them on the shoulder and like say "Did you, like, see that?" and you point over their left shoulder with your left hand, you know. And then, like when they're lookin' o'er their left shoulder, you know. You take your right hand, you see, and you like, smear some goose droppings, on the eye piece of their scope. And then like, you say, "Oh you like, missed it" you know. And that's what you do. You know?
 
Well guys it seem we all have something ingame we are not happy with, I for one dont like getting killed but unfortunately that's part of the game, and that is what I tell player's who complain to me about player's like your snipper. If a player is not breaking our rules we should not try and dictate to them how to play, but enjoy the game and lead by example and try hard to kill the son of a gun.
 
Its the jumping in and out of the server when about to get killed that was the real problem, which i think isnt legal? not 100% sure

I am not up with technical thing's so can you please explain how a player can know when he is going to get killed, it could save me from dying to many time's.
 
Yea, I've seen people who move to spec once one side caps all the flags just to avoid getting another death, which is really annoying because it deprives the other side of having their fun of hunting down the other team while the losers can't do anything. I always give a warning for this, although it's probably debatable as to if this is cheating or not.
 
I know for a fact that every time I leave spawn I will die. Bebating whether to stay in spawn rather than face certain death, No it would spoil the game for me and the guy's who would kill me, hunt for me in the sewer's and get your point's HA HA
