Hey guys,

I am in the process of storing my consoles unless I use them, so I wondered what ways you might recommend for hooking a console to a PC, as far as audio and video?

I have the following consoles:
- NES
- Super NES
- GameCube
- Nintendo 64
- Playstation 1 & 2

Thanks! :)

The only way that i know of is to use a capture card, but i dont think you want to capture video of the games.

Okay. That's easy. You just need the proper adapter.
Do you know what inputs your monitor have?

Well I think for the Game Cube you'd need an AV cable to VGA adapter, but I'm not sure what the output is of the other two. You should look into it. Or just take a picture of the ends, and I can tell you.

Afaik NES uses an RCA-cable to transport sound and video and the PSX uses a AV Multi Out for the sound and graphics, PS2 uses AV/SCART, Gamecube uses that as well so just find a RCA to VGA/DVI-adapter, AV to VGA/DVI-adapter and so forth. At least that's how it should work.

It seems from reviews I've read that a lot of people experience ghosting with cables. I've found this 'XCM Mega Cool VGA Box' that supposedly can hook up any system with the proper cables. Anyone here ever done this?

Not personally.
My friend does it, I can ask him which brand he bought from.
