ego wedsite coding and form coding

The site is in PHP, but i believe that most stuff on the website doesn't need to be actually "coded" anyway. From my knowledge of web design, it looks like a template that someone can add to without PHP knowledge.

Well the forum itself uses vbulletin. Im not sure, but i think our theme is custom designed

Most webhosting companies provide a cpanel so you can just click >> input some fields >> and there you go you have a forum bored.

Yes the theme is custom, I dont think anyone else uses Edgegamers for there theme. lol

But i meant the info in it, the areas ect.

You can't really just say, I want to learn, teach me!

It would take a long time (which you would have to teach yourself), and I don't think eGO needs help with the website design anyways.

Coding isn't really something you jump into easily.

There are coding classes, ext. that you can take.
eGO uses vbulletin cms and a custom theme.

My suggestion is get a couple of decent books, or take a few online courses, or something from a local college. Start with HTML basics and CSS so that you have a solid foundation, then move up to some of the other web coding languages like PHP and ajax. You're not going to learn it overnight - expect to spend a lot of time studying and working hard to learn web coding.

As far as learning web coding here, this isn't the place for that sort of thing. As has been mentioned, eGO has a coding team already. If you were already proficient and looking to help in that way then there might be a spot for you, but this isn't really the place to learn about coding.

Start at the basics and work up. You'll find yourself coding great looking sites soon enough :-)

kingwing all this is is a vBulletin forum system, it uses some advanced CSS/HTML/PHP/JavaScript and probably some AJAX

Check out tizag.com and w3schools.com for some good tutorials on HTML/CSS. Once you get those down, move on to Javascript and PHP. Google is your friend.

All this is a control panel and you can edit it in the control panel. V bulletin is a very popular forum board and its very easy to customize. But they are also using Advanced V bulletin and that is a little bit different but still the same concept. Not much to it, You Dont really "Have" to know coding to do something like this but it would be better.

I think he means more of the actual coding of a forum, in which case he's not gonna be of any use for about a year until he learns HTML+CSS+PHP+JavaScript/AJAX well
