Mouse wont come back on?

Well today i was watching a vid on youtube and i went to click on another video and i wasn't able to move my mouse so i unplugged it and the plugged it back in and it came on for about a minute then it shut off again. A message came up and said one of my USB ports wasn't working or the device was malfunctioning and all my ports are working and i would like to believe my mouse is too because the light still comes on when i unplug and replug. This mouse is the Gigabyte GM_M8000 Ghost mouse.

Try a different USB port, if it works on another port, then the port it was plugged into is bad. If it doesn't work in any port, then the mouse is bad.
