My mouse wont work?

Well today i was watching a vid on youtube and i went to click on another video and i wasn't able to move my mouse so i unplugged it and the plugged it back in and it came on for about a minute then it shut off again. A message came up and said one of my USB ports wasn't working or the device was malfunctioning and all my ports are working and i would like to believe my mouse is too because the light still comes on when i unplug and replug. This mouse is the Gigabyte GM_M8000 Ghost mouse.

Try uninstalling and installing the drivers.

I don't know the right answer to this technical problem but I think it's your USB slot, try to clean it or something. Or just put it in another slot.

well i tried all that and it still doesn't work so im just going to have to assume that the mouse doesn't work anymore so im going to go and look for a new mouse thats not too expensive.
