So I've been having some issues lately and it's driving me insane...
I hadn't started up Company of Heroes since reinstalling Windows a while back, and when I did Steam ran through it's little DirectX install and the other doohickey that installs after. After this went through, there was an error message, and the game would start up kind of funny, that is, it would play some of the intro movies but then cut out and not load any more.
So basically, the game will play intro movies for a few seconds, then start glitching and send me back to desktop with the game still running. I have to manually exit.
After the 3rd reinstall, the game will load up to the menu, but after a few seconds my computer will blue screen and it gives me an error related to my display driver (stop code 116).
I've tried reinstalling CoH, starting the game again, uninstalling using Revo uninstaller, reinstalling and starting, and uninstalling and manually removing CoH registry keys. Still no success.
So I started CoH in windowed mode and the game will run fine. I'm getting over 60 fps minimum on tests, so I don't think it's a hardware issue (also, i7 920, 6 gigs of RAM, 2 640AALS HDDs in RAID0). If anyone has suggestions or ideas on how I might be able to play in full screen, please help me out!
