Am I off base when I say that the Falcon seems to be a bit materialistic? I mean, it's $250 for something that appears to be nothing more than a glorified joystick. I'm always confusing the things for a Falcon Northwest gaming PC. Maybe I'm crazy, I don't know, but it just seems pointless.

I'm perfectly content with my $10 Logitech mouse and keyboard. Am I missing the point of the Falcon Novint?

I'm not complaining, I'm just curious. Yeah, I can't afford it, primarily because I have priorities.

It's a very unique experience and it's definitely fun, I'm just not sure if it's $250 fun.

The one I played with was free so I can't really comment on the last part.

while everyone is entitled to their opinion, there is no reason to look down on those who choose to use the falcon or a similarly expensive piece of hardware for their gaming experience. I'm glad you're happy with your mouse...but some people enjoy a different way of playing the game. Please keep that in mind when posting.

you are not accounting for the technology and programming that goes into building falcons. I have one myself and usually stick with my mouse, but the falcon is by no stretch a typical joystick.
