some help with BC2 plz --'

Well, i just bought battle field today, and i found the single player not working. i haven't tried the multiplayer yet. there are some black lines like running accross my field. I can't see anything, well a little, but not what i want. any help ?

It's quite simple, just go to your video card's manufacturer page and then loon on the drivers or updates section:

ATi: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

You just have to choose the specifications of your card and it will give you the download link for the newest drivers.

Also, are you sure that you're using the correct video card? I mean, does it fit whit the specs of the game? I haven't played BFBC2 yet but i know it requires a pretty good system, you could try showing us your specs too.

Which is the video card series number? You know the like the name of the video card e.g. nVidia GeForce 8xxx

Also this should be the parameters to get your drivers, i will put mines for an example:

Product Type: GeForce
Product Series: GeForce 8 Series
Operating System: Windows XP
Language: English (US)

It's quite simple, you only need to know the name/model/series number, of your video card.

haha, traditionally, i play first out of the single player. then i play perhaps the multiplayer. we will see, is the single player very large ? or little like cod4? play it like out in 3 hours on hard =D

jh, get a quad core, i don't have the money now, and my dad wont buy me a new one =(. and those settings, my dad prohibitted me to NOT change any files, cauz he is afraid that will screw up our pc =(

Well, hate to say it but you're out of luck.
And by the way, altering game setting files do NOT harm the computer as your computer does not use them to operate. If your game isn't working and he's not willing to let you change a few simple settings, then he basically has wasted money buying the game.

You can change any of those settings in that thread safely and your Dad won't even know you did anything (unless he plays BC2 and sees that the visuals are lowered).
