tf2 new comic

That comic is - in my mind - the best thing ever made in the history of anything ever.
I love it. I love Valve. Now excuse me I have to go drool over my TF2's DVD-case.

Pretty epic..so im guessing we now know that the golden wrench picture that pie found is actually australlium. And im guessing the life machine is some kind of dispenser

Those hidden links have already been posted in the old comic.

Further proof that Valve loves Gravel Pit. If you look at most of their stuff like this, they mention Gravel Pit (Pits of America, the stamp on Sniper's postcard), and now "gravel as far as the eye can see", "fools gravel", and "find the gravel....and place it in a pit". Its a shame few others enjoy it. :(

More on topic, this was a great read, explains the Engineer update teaser trailer a bit, and gives some more background. Though I do still think that the Mac comic was the funniest. Thanks for sharing.

For a game that was created with no backstory, TF2 has one of the greatest back stories I've ever seen in a game.

So, you know what this all says to me, what with the whole life extender thing:

A dispenser that buffs health above maximum, perhaps with a penalty to ammo returns.

Such a device would potentially allow uncoordinated teams, i.e teams with no medics, to succeed and do well, as long as the dispenser was placed on the frontlines. Generally speaking, the speculation has been that valve wants to make the engie less of a turtle, and giving him a dispenser that rewards frontline usages would certainly be a way to do it.

Now, is that any more useful, than, say, one that heals normally and gives ammo (i.e. the current model) on the front lines? I wouldn't have thought so, but who knows? It'll be interesting, in any case.

if the team is too uncordinated to have a medic i doubt they would have a engy actually setting up in a useful spot

since they shot down the repair node that repairs building in a certain radius maybe they came up with a healing equivalent that heals teammates with in a certain radius which would make the engy a very valuable frontlines men.

but seriously the engy can still be very good at offensive as it is just most people turtle example forward teles and dispenser on C or L of black mesa make the world of difference for attackers and make it much easier to cap C or L than B or K with a close by health and ammo supply and tele's so the attack is constant and the enemies get no lulls while people are moving back up to the front lines.

So we already know what the new wrench looks like and we know basically what our new dispenser does. Now just to figure out what the sentry does

i doubt that the golden wrench is for the engy update i think is for the winner of the polycount contrib contest
