Need a start up command

In set launch options is there a command so the game runs on Very high textures? I have my game on dx8 for my laptop while I'm at a cousins house so I can play here. The launch option command for dx8 resets my graphics setting every time I quit. So it's kind of annoying having to go into the game's options and reset it every time.

You could edit the configuration file, or run commands through autoexec
