I have the same problem as you for the second one...I cannot connect to any server all it says is "Server not responding"...

When you can not connect to servers (you can see them and your friends but cannot play) are you able to connect to the internet at all?

I get a problem which is similar and when i alt-tab out of CS:S my internet does not work, as it crashes my entire router. If i wait 15 minutes it fixes itself though, i have posted the same issue on the steam forums and no one has a fix that works.

yeah this happens to mine so i cant play css at all because my internet does not respiond but this is with all servers not only ego servers
