Gaming died?

Well i went to camp for 2 weeks got back and logged into steam, is it me or does it seem that not many of my friends are on. It seems like after the css update and our split jail server seems like alot of people left, or unadded me from their friends list? is this true if so i am completely dissapointed and if not i am overjoyed
