some lag and fps issues

well i get some lag and fps issues during gameplay. Here is my system:

OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: AMD Sempron 3100+ 1.81 GHz
RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: ATi Radeon 9550
ISP: Verizon FiOS

As you might tell I have added some of my own parts which is the video card and a 1GB RAM stick. I still get a lot of lag too. I have just reformatted my hard drive like 2 weeks ago and I don't have any other programs running when DoD:S is. I also have all video setting to the lowest they will go with a resolution of 800x600

Ummmmmmm. Have you tried defragmenting your harddrive? In 2 weeks time, without defragmenting your computer will slow down big time. Even with the hardware inside the comp.
If you don't know where to find the defragmenter this is where u go. Start - - All Programs - - Accessories - - System Tools - - Disk Defragmenter.

You will also see Disk Cleanup. I wouldn't run it. As it will delete Temporary Files. This is pointless as it will delete them, they will recollect, fragment, and slow your computer down. Say something if this helped

i actually defraged last night so that shouldn't be a problem. I deleted my dod:s and reinstalled because maybe my skins were slowing it down. and i updated my video card drivers becuase i hadn't known there was an update. so once dod:s is installed i will check

well in that system the processor is the bottleneck. Can you tell us what your in game stats are with net_graph 3 - this will help to see where the problem lies. Are you finding that the lagg is all the time or does it spike?
