So guys who remembers how they were first introduced to edge? Well i do. A friend and i decided to jump on the 2fort server. I remember acting foolish and getting kicked..i thought the rules were very strict for a game but i decided to come back and behave. Then i met some really cool eGO members and made some friends. But then of course i decided to have another bout of ignorance and was kicked again a few days later! lol. But FINALLY i straightened up and just decided to join. I'm glad i did!

Thanks for whoever kicked me those couple times...made me join for some reason!

I'm sure some of you also have a story. Post it!
 
I was kicked for having the 'Zoey and the Witch' spray from our 24/7 Gravelpit :P, now that I look back I'm all 'damnit, my spray was perfectly acceptable :mad:', but it made me interested enough to stay and get to know the rules. Although it helped that it was the only 24/7 GPit I could find :P

Aaaaanyways... When I bought TF2, Dante^ aka Stormrider^ basically said "Play here, join the clan or I'll kick your ass."
 
I have never been kicked from a Server, that i remember of course.
Any DL is free to prove me wrong x3.
I did get a few warns though.
 
my first run in with EGO was in counter strike but i never joined mostly because i was already in a clan and was most likely gonna be an admin soon anyway lol then it kinda all feel apart and i kinda stopped play counter strike anyway lol and i just was roaming servers after i bought tf2 and saw ego and was like "hey i remember these dudes" and i clicked on black mesa cus i never heard of it...barely played anything since haha XD then eventually joined aftr playing forever as a pub

edit: as far as i can remember i was never kicked just got warned for cussing lol
 
When I first found eGO server I was kicked for camping dustbowl spawn and cart as spy. I was furious when I later joined and found out that camping any spot is a legit strategy. Either way I joined and glad I did ;).
 
I got kicked for having a spray that said "Press F10 and get a cookie!" back in the day when F10 quit the game. I got interested in the clan, joined, got promoted to eG then eGO, fought with the higher ups, got banned for a year, missed this place, got unbanned and now I'm back. Craziness.
 
I kept playing on the 24/7 Dustbowl server. Day in and day out, Dustbowl with eGO. At some point, I think I just said, "What the hell, let's sign up!"

Then I discovered Black Mesa (I think it was...oh...v7 with the network of crazy vents and about sixty exits from spawn :D) and I stayed.
 
why does everyones story start with i got kicked.

and the rules between admins can be kinda different i got kicked for my sprays a few times and i still use the same ones.
 
I didn't have to be banned or kicked to join eGO. It was just love at first sight for me and the ShoutBox.
 
I joined the Lotus' server on my first day. Unfortunately, people were cussing, so I quickly left and joined another random server. That server was 2fort with this godly community. I got to know Dallas for about a minute, and I decided to join. I put eGO in my name and got kicked for fraud...that was fun...Signed up, stayed in Blackmesa, and have been here eversince.
 
I used to always play on the source op servers which were always filled with people using racist remarks and griefers. Then one day I saw the eGO valve map server and decided to join. While I was playing I saw someone griefing when an admin (I don't remember who) kicked them from the server.

Then I was joining the server more and more often until till one day I made the decision to join the clan.

Came back after hearing valve was releasing new items to the game :d. Needed to find a

server to play since I stopped paying for my own server ;d. I quickly remembered eGO's

server, and I browsed through the server browser but never found it. Decided to come on to

the website, and spent hours trying to navigate to the server listings >.>. I was astonished

by how many servers you guys had, and how active the forum was :d. I wanted to take part

in this awesome "e-family" community that was going on, and decided to sign up. It was

rather fun for first the five months, but then I started to long for the competitive side and a friend of mine invited

me to come play for his team on 1.6. Over the next year, I had some issues and decided to just give up on 1.6, and come

back to edge gamers :d. Now here I am browsing the forums constantly and participating in

events ;P. Not an awesome story, but nevertheless it's a good reminder that the website is

the backbone of this community :3
