Are you sure it's your flashlight key, what is the button mapped to (check in key controls)? Have you verified game integrity? Does it happen when connected to a particular server or all servers?

EDIT: Found this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15884972 In short, version update bugged it out, should be resolved shortly.

this is a bug caused by a steam update. It happened about 2 weeks ago, was fixed, and is back apparently.

We will be turning off flashlights in-server until the bug is fixed.
