That is just too funny, because that is how I like to play. I'll use the sticky launcher for most of my wet work. (Wish there was a replacement to the normal nade launcher...) I'll probably play more aggressive with demo than any other class.
The pyro, with airblast and shotty, is a great defensive classes after the patch. The airblast is one of the better ways to mess up an uber, reflect crit rockets, and put out burning teammates. Bonus if you light up a spy in there. Folks catch fire, and many will go running for a medic or healthpack rather than push. Combine with the homewrecker, I'll be de-sapping the equipment too.

Every class can be used for both offense and defense. Some arn't as good at one as they are another, but you can still make it happen. Whats so wrong about a pyro spychecking constantly or waiting at a door for anyone to come around. Or a demoman advancing to the enemy battlements, and clearing them for the scouts that follow. As thereven Said, its a game, we play it for fun.

Demomen playing... OFFENSE?! What is the world coming to? Demomen should turtle an ddefend just like the engie, not go out and attack enemy sentries and buildings! That's totally not what they were meant to do! If Valve had meant for them to attack things, they'd have weapons for it, like a... bomb launcher or something!
Soon... probably after the engie update matures a bit and people play some other class.
I still have yet to reinstall steam after installing Win7.

I think these classes were meant to be played like this, but with the new weapons the y tried to change it up.
So now you can do anything
Grenades have always been the Demoman's, and they're really good at offense. So have stickies. In fact, the Demoman's pretty good at taking out engi bases.
