dod_strand and dod_jagd crash my computer!

I have been trying to connect to the server lately and I can't get past retrieving server info, and then nothing happens for the next 10 minutes. Sometimes it even crashes my whole computer.

Any ideas on the problem? I remember there being a TF2 update that screwed everything up but I didn't find a fix.

I'd really like to play with you all again but this is holding me back! Thanks!

Do the usual: Verify integrity of the game chache
Defrag the game/Computer
Virus Scan
Delete Clientregistry.blob

Just did what you said mattM -, and my computer still crashes. I expect its all of the bomb-setting maps that are crashing me. Strand, Jagd, Colmar all crash my game/computer.

Found a fix.

Added this to my launching options.
