Can I handle BFBC2?

I am not certain but see if there is a demo available. I pretty much rebuilt my entire PC right before BC2 came out. I got kind of lucky.

OP and St0n3d, what cpus do you have? I have a crappy E5200 intel and a 5770, but i can only get like 45 fps on med-low... make sure your cpus are up to snuff, bc2 is very cpu intensive with the frostbite engine

Tony, this is just the info I needed.... I was worried that my rig just wouldn't be able to perform any better by just upgrading my GPU, but it is pretty clear now that this will take me a long ways. Shopping on new egg now! Thanks

yea, im running the game with everything on high with an Nvidia gt240 (a little slower than an 8800 or 9800). im using a pentium D 2.8 ghz and get about 15-30 fps, and its pretty smooth, so no worries. the game is very processor heavy like GTA4, if you got a good processor and a decent GPU from the last 3 years you should be fine

On both systems, I play in 1920x1080 with minimum settings and 80FOV. I get ~100FPS on the desktop and ~75 on the laptop, both constant. I only lose 25FPS on the laptop because of the dual core processor as compared to the quad core I run in the desktop.

Yea i'm running a 9500GT 1GB of Video RAM, and i'm surprised i can run it unless a 9500GT can run it no problem without me knowing???
